But, food first- I've gone back to Cooking Light. This month the cover touts Chicken 25 Ways! I took one of the recipes and made it my own, using ground turkey instead and a couple of minor tweaks. It was quite tasty, and since the boys did not know I substituted turkey for the chicken, they raved about it! Please don't spill the beans . . .
Spicy Thai Basil Turkey Wraps
4 Tsp Olive Oil
1/2 Cup chopped green onions
1/2 Cup chopped Red Bell Pepper
Minced Garlic
1 lb ground Turkey
1 can chopped green chiles
2 Tsp Brown Sugar
2 Tsp Lower-Sodium Soy Sauce
Black pepper to taste
1 Cup Basil Leaves
1 T fresh Lime Juice
Lime wedges
Lettuce and/or Tortilla Wraps
Heat Nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add Oil to pan and coat. Add green onions and saute' 2 minutes. Add bell pepper for 1 minute. Add garlic and saute' 30 seconds. Remove mixture from pan. Add a little more oil to pan if necessary. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, stirring to crumble. Drain well. Return turkey to pan over medium heat. Add chiles and cook for 1 minute; add onion mixture back to pan and stir in remaining ingredients through black pepper. Cook 1 minute or until heated. Remove from pan and stir in basil leaves and lime juice. Serve with lime wedges, wrapped in lettuce or tortillas.
Makes 4 servings. Calories: 230 (without a wrap); Protein 21 gr; Carb 10 gr; Fat 10 gr; Sodium 486 mg.

Now, to the workout. This is a simple, quickie workout. If you keep moving and try not to take breaks it will get your heart rate up giving you a good mix of cardio and strength. Let me know what you think . . .
